Writer Christopher Yost and artist Ryan Stegman will helm Scarlet Spider, which will arrive in stores early on in 2012.
Announced at New York Comic-Con this weekend, it has yet to be revealed who will star as the lead in the new series, although rumours suggest it could be either anti-hero Kaine or the original Scarlet Spider Ben Reilly.
"[Scarlet Spider is] not as bouncy as Amazing Spider-Man," Spider-Man editor Steve Wacker told IGN Comics. "It adds to the Spider-line somewhere between Amazing Spider-Man and Venom.
The new Scarlet Spider will make his debut this November in a special segment of the Point One anthology issue.
