The former Buffy the Vampire Slayer actress is collaborating with Camilla Ransten, Christian Messey and Thomas Mauer on the project, which re-examines the mystery of Jack the Ripper.
"Camilla and I wanted to tell the story of Ripper with fresh eyes and propose theories that hadn't been talked about before. We are also surrounded by friends who have varying degrees of psychic abilities and how and why they can do what they do is endlessly fascinating," Caulfield told Newsarama.
"To give Ripper, as a story point, the background of a psychic university seemed like a natural evolution in the story we wanted to tell. Plus, we like to explore the dark, thematically, and who better to do that with than good old Jack?"
Caulfield previously teamed up with Ransten, Messey and Mauer for her 2009 webcomic series Contrapussy, which is now owned by IDW Publishing.
Ripped, which entered production following a successful Kickstarter campaign, is being released online episodically.
