Marvel axes 'Victor Von Doom' miniseries ahead of release

The four-issue miniseries Victor Von Doom, from the creative team of Secret Avengers writer Nick Spencer and artist Becky Cloonan, was announced in August.
However, according to a post on Kabooooom, Marvel has opted to axe the series ahead of its launch.
"I see word is out about Victor Von Doom," Spencer tweeted earlier this weekend. "Trust me, no one is more bummed about this than I am."
Spencer added: "Really proud of the scripts and hope to get to work with Becky Cloonan sooner rather than later."
Victor Von Doom would have told the story of Doom in his adolescence as he travels to hell to try and save his mother's spirit.
In October, Marvel announced a large number of staff layoffs at the company as well as the cancellation of both Alpha Flight and Spencer's other series Iron Man 2.0.
