House of Night has been adapted as a miniseries by Dark Horse Comics.
The young adult vampire novels are written by the mother-daughter team of P.C. and Kristin Cast, debuting in 2007 and spawning eight sequels to date.
A House of Night movie is currently in the works, based on a screenplay by Kent Dalian, who has penned the Dark Horse miniseries in collaboration with the Casts. Joëlle Jones shouldered art duties.

"I've always read comics," the P.C. Cast told Newsarama. "I grew up thinking that my piles and piles of comic books were completely normal. Superman was my boyfriend forever.
"Swamp Thing, I also had a super, giant affair with for quite a long time. Thor, the Fantastic Four - I read everything."
House of Night #1 (of 5) arrived in stores this week. Future issues will be released on a monthly basis.
