SCB will distribute the publisher's graphic novels to the book trade, taking over the role of Diamond Book Distributors.
Diamond will continue to distribute Bluewater's periodical comics as before, and will purchase its graphic novels from SCB under the terms of the new partnership.
"This is a significant step for us," said Bluewater president Darren Davis, "SCB has the best model to get our product into major distribution channels. With their help, next year should prove to be a banner year at Bluewater."
Bluewater's presence in the book trade has become more prominent over the last year. The publisher recently signed a deal with Simon & Schuster to release a graphic novel based on the demise of Osama Bin Laden called Killing Geronimo, and its Steve Jobs biography debuted on the Amazon top ten.
Bluewater plans on publishing more than 75 graphic novel titles through SCB in 2012.
