Paul Duffield has unveiled The Firelight Isle, a new webcomic set in a fantasy world.
The FreakAngels artist will both write and draw for the project, which focuses on two friends coming of age.
While Duffield and writer Warren Ellis's FreakAngels was backed by Avatar Press, the creator is seeking his own funding through IndieGoGo.
FreakAngels was the first major work for Duffield. The comic launched in 2008 and concluded earlier this year.

He has set up a website with a development blog and funding information for The Firelight Isle, which isn't expected to see a full launch for several months.
Duffield is committing one day a week to working on the series, with no word on the expected output.
