Vertigo has unveiled The New Deadwardians.
The eight-issue miniseries will be written by Dan Abnett alongside artist INJ Culbard, reports Graphic Content.

"May I just confess that this is a story that involves both zombies and vampires, two things I swore I would never write about because they had both long since jumped the shark," Abnett wrote in his original pitch for the title.
"Then this idea came to me and wouldn't leave me alone. Please be tolerant of the zombie-and-vampire-ness of this until you've heard me out. It's essentially a detective story set in an alternate history England, circa 1900."
The story is set in a post-Victorian England where the upper classes have voluntarily become vampires to escape the lower classes, who happen to be zombies.
Culbard's adaptation of HP Lovecraft's At the Mountains of Madness was awarded the British Fantasy Award for 'Best Graphic Novel' earlier in the year.
The New Deadwardians will debut in March 2012.
