Marvel Comics has announced Marjorie Liu and Mike Perkins as the new Astonishing X-Men creative team.
The new arc will begin with issue #48 and will focus on Wolverine's side of the current X-Men divide, reports Comic Book Resources.

It will be Liu's first team book after a series of solo titles for the publisher including X-23, Daken: Dark Wolverine and Black Widow.
"My solo series in some ways have been rarely truly solo," said the writer, referring to the supporting casts of her previous series.
The team will consist of Warbird, Northstar, Iceman, Cecelia Reyes, Gambit and Karma.
"Originally, I wanted to keep the team really small, but as brainstorming continued... there were certain characters that I really wanted to write and that I thought would balance well with each other," said Liu.
"We've got Northstar moving back to New York and he's going to be living with his boyfriend, Kyle. Another side of it, we've got characters like Cecelia and Gambit circling each other and [Gambit] moving into his own apartment in Westchester."
The previous arc of Astonishing X-Men was written by Greg Pak and illustrated by Mike McKone.
Liu's X-23 and Daken were two of a string of Marvel titles to fall victim to a recent surge of cancellations.
