DC Comics, Warner Bros to merge booths at Comic-Con 2012?

Should the move go ahead, the publisher will set up shop in the movies section of the convention, freeing up space among the comics booths.
DC's director of events Fletcher Chu-Fong is opposed to the switch, according to Bleeding Cool. Plans are yet to be finalised, but the event's organisers are said to have contacted other publishers about filling the space in the comics sector.
The San Diego Comic-Con is the largest event of its kind in the world. Booth space at the convention is highly sought after, and usually only opens up when a publisher goes bust.
Comic-Con 2012 will be held at the San Diego Convention Centre between July 12 and July 15 next year. Pricing details for the show were released last summer.
DC and Warner Bros are yet to officially announce plans to merge booths for the event.
