'The Best of Dark Shadows' announced by Hermes Press

The 336-page volume is a paperback omnibus collecting the best Gold Key Dark Shadows stories, originally published between 1968 and 1976.
Gold Key's Dark Shadows was based on the television series of the same name - a Gothic soap opera considered to be the forerunner of modern supernatural-themed TV shows and movies.
Hermes has been reprinting the original series in its entirety as five hardcover volumes, the third of which arrives this month. Dynamite Entertainment launched a new series based on the property in October.
Tim Burton is currently making a movie based on the Dark Shadows TV series with Johnny Depp in the lead role of brooding vampire Barnabas Collins. The film is scheduled for release on May 11, 2012.
The Best of Dark Shadows is released on April 10, 2012.
