Exile on the Planet of the Apes has been announced by BOOM! Studios.
The miniseries will serve as a sequel to the publisher's Betrayal of the Planet of the Apes and feature the same writing team.

Corinna Sara Bechko and Gabriel Hardman will pen the title, though the latter will not provide illustrations as he did for Betrayal due to commitments on Marvel Comics' Secret Avengers. Marc Laming will shoulder art duties.
"We're thrilled that BOOM! and Fox are giving us this opportunity," said Hardman. "The story is a direct sequel featuring Dr. Zaius and characters we introduced in Betrayal. Well, the ones who survive, anyway."
BOOM! Studios' latest solicitations also confirm the launch of a Hellraiser annual written by Clive Barker, an Ice Age one-shot from its kids' line, a new superhero title called Supurbia, and a Kitchen Sink Press retrospective.
Exile on the Planet of the Apes will debut in March 2012.
