Fear Itself scribe Joe Caramagna is penning Amazing Spider-Man: Behind The Mask and Amazing Spider-Man: Vulture for a young readership, according to Bleeding Cool.
The books are expected to be modelled on novels previously released in France, written by Nicolas Jaillet. Two further titles were subsequently released in the territory featuring Sandman and Doctor Octopus respectively.
Marvel announced this week that it is to release prose novels based on its 'Civil War' event. Wolverine writer Stuart Moore will adapt the storyline for the publisher.
"Releasing our most acclaimed graphic novels as prose fiction not only allows us to reach a different audience with these stories, but also gives us a chance to bring those readers back to the comics that started it all," said David Gabriel, senior vice president of sales for Marvel Entertainment.
Amazing Spider-Man: Behind The Mask and Amazing Spider-Man: Vulture are expected to be released in May.
