Power Girl illustrator Amanda Conner will draw a Silk Spectre miniseries for DC Comics set before the original graphic novel, according to Bleeding Cool.
The news follows reports that JG Jones is working on a Comedian solo project and Andy Kubert is helming a Nite Owl spinoff. All three books are said to be part of a series of four Watchmen prequels, due later this year.
J Michael Straczynski and Brian Azzarello have also been linked to the project, though specific details of their involvement are yet to surface. It is not yet known whether original artists Dave Gibbons and John Higgins will be involved in the venture.
Watchmen, written by Alan Moore and pencilled by Gibbons, was published by DC between 1986 and 1987. It is widely considered as one of the most influential graphic novels of all time.
DC is yet to officially unveil its plans for Watchmen prequels.
