MorrisonCon, a one-off event, is being organised by Isotope Comics and iFanboy in conjunction with Morrison himself.
A location and specific details are yet to be revealed, though the convention's website confirms that it will be held over the course of an autumn weekend. Morrison will appear at the show, along with nine other high profile creators.
"A once in a lifetime opportunity to see Grant Morrison and nine handpicked comic creator superstars, all together for one weekend, one time only," read a statement from the organisers.
Fellow scribe Mark Millar launched his own comics convention in the UK last year. Kapow! Comic-Con is scheduled to return for a second year in May.
Full details of MorrisonCon are expected to be announced soon.
