X-O Manowar's creative team has been announced by Valiant Entertainment.
Surrogates writer Robert Venditti will team up with Conan artist Cary Nord on the rebooted title, the publisher confirmed.
X-O Manowar was originally published by Valiant in 1992, telling the story of a Visigoth warrior from the Roman ages named Aric of Dacia, who is captured by aliens.

Aric comes into possession of the X-O Manowar, the most powerful weapon in the universe, and makes his escape, only to end up stranded in the 21st century.
"I think it's a great conflict, to have this guy who was born and bred and lived a warrior, but is used to using a sword suddenly be in possession of this awesome piece of technology that's better than anything the world has ever seen - and then throw him 16 centuries into the future," Venditti told CBR.
"How does he deal with that? It's just a great core conflict to have with the character. There are so many possibilities there and so many threads to pull on that jump out at me as something I'm really going to have a fun time writing."
Valiant announced that it was reviving the character last summer, following a partnership with Cueno & Company, LCC.
X-O Manowar #1 arrives in stores on May 2.
