Bongo Comics unveils new logo, creative director

Bongo Comics has unveiled a new logo.

The publisher joins DC Comics and Oni Press in updating its branding for 2012.

Long-time art director Nathan Kane has been promoted to creative director, replacing Bill Morrison.

Morrison is working on some secret projects for 2012 with Bongo owner and Simpsons creator Matt Groening, according to The Beat.

Bongo is best known for publishing licensed comics including The Simpsons and Futurama.

It has also returned to creator-owned comics with the new Sergio Aragonés Funnies.

Bongo was founded in 1993.
