Matt Kindt will replace Jeff Lemire on Frankenstein, Agent of S.H.A.D.E..

It was revealed yesterday (January 31) that Lemire will be the new writer on DC Comics' Justice League Dark.

"I'm so excited to be writing Frankenstein, Agent of S.H.A.D.E.," Kindt told The Source.

"I've been good friends with Jeff Lemire since we both broke into comics years ago, and I remember spending the weekend at his studio and kicking his ideas around for his take on Frank and Crew and just having a blast.

"Lemire was having so much fun putting these characters into action... and I think that fun really comes through."

Lemire had promised a forthcoming announcement last week, with rumours circulating that it would be a Robins project.

Dark Horse Comics recently unveiled Kindt's Mind MGMT.

Lemire will continue his work on DC's Animal Man and Sweet Tooth, the latter for the publisher's Vertigo imprint.

Outgoing Justice League Dark writer Peter Milligan will take the reins on Stormwatch.

Kindt will debut on Frankenstein, Agent of S.H.A.D.E. #10 in June.
