'Before Watchmen' covers unveiled - picture gallery

DC Comics confirmed the inevitable earlier this week, announcing a prequel to Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons's iconic Watchmen.
High profile creators including J Michael Straczynski, Darwyn Cooke and original editor Len Wein are on board, but reaction across the industry and among fans has been mixed.
To spark even more debate over the project, DC has now released cover designs for all seven miniseries ahead of their summer release.
