The illustrator will provide a painted section for the Smoke sequel, which entered production following a successful Kickstarter appeal.
Sienkiewicz will be joined on art duties by Dan McDaid. Colleen Doran, Igor Kordey, Milton and Felipe Sobreiro, Richard Pace, RM Guera, Mack Chater and Greg Smallwood will also contribute, Bleeding Cool reports.
De Campi was forced to seek new artists for the book following the departure of Jimmy Broxton, who left the project due to alleged creative differences.
IDW Publishing released the original Smoke, a dark political thriller set in a dystopian London. The book was nominated for an Eisner Award in 2005 before slipping into relative obscurity.
Ashes will be released in graphic novel form in December. Its digital serialisation will begin this summer.
