Buffy the Vampire Slayer has received a space-themed teaser for Free Comic Book Day.
Dark Horse Comics released a promo featuring the titular heroine alongside the tagline "In space no one can hear you slay", sparking rumours of a crossover with Aliens.
The publisher owns the comic book rights to the Aliens franchise, and regularly merges it with other properties. Dark Horse has previously released the inter-company Aliens vs Predator series, and joined forces with DC Comics for Superman vs Aliens.
Dark Horse's Free Comic Book Day title features input from creators including Andrew Chambliss, Georges Jeanty, Dexter Vines, and Caitlin R Kiernan.
Last year's Free Comic Book Day broke records, with over one million people estimated to have visited a comic book shop and 54% of stores reporting increased profits compared to average Saturday takings.
Free Comic Book Day 2012 will be held on May 5 this year.
