Jeff Lemire has announced 'Rotworld'.
The previously teased Animal Man/Swamp Thing crossover will run between issues #12 and #17 of the titles.
Lemire and Scott Snyder's titles have been thematically linked since their launch last September.
"Buddy Baker and Alec Holland join forces to lead a pre-emptive strike deep into The Rot, the consequences of which will tear both of their worlds apart forever," wrote Lemire on his blog.
"Running in both series through to Issue #17, 'Rotworld' is an epic superhero/horror story that Scott and I have been busy planning for the last year."
Animal Man artist Steve Pugh and Swamp Thing illustrator Yanick Paquette have collaborated with Nathan Fairbairn on joining covers for the two 12th issues.
DC Comics is currently in the midst of its first major crossover in Batman's 'Night of the Owls'.
'Rotworld' will debut in Animal Man and Swamp Thing in July.
