The Frazetta Sketchbook has been announced by Vanguard Publishing.

The 160-page hardcover volume will collect some of late artist Frank Frazetta's best-known illustrations, along with previously-unpublished material.

Frazetta, best known for his work in the fantasy genre, passed away back in 2010 after suffering from a stroke. Work began on the collection prior to his death.

The illustrator is renowned for his work drawing Conan The Barbarian and Tarzan in the 1960s, but extended into comics on titles including DC Comics' Shining Knight.

Other notable undertakings include the lobby poster for the 1965 Woody Allen-penned movie What's New Pussycat?, and his popular painting and original creation Death Dealer, which would later inspire a comic series published by Image Comics.

The Frazetta Sketchbook is released later this year.
