Francesco Francavilla's Black Beetle will receive a miniseries.
The character, who debuted in a story in the Dark Horse Presents anthology, will graduate to his own three-part series, the artist and writer has announced on his blog.
The Black Beetle: No Way Out will be the first of several planned miniseries, and is scheduled to arrive in January 2013.
December will see the arrival of The Black Beetle #0, which collects the three-part story 'Night Shift' which was originally printed in Dark Horse Presents.
Dark Horse Comics will also be running a letters page that fans can email at blackbeetle@darkhorse.com.
Francavilla is best known for his work with Scott Snyder on their acclaimed, pre-New 52 Detective Comics run.
