The publisher released an Adam Kubert-drawn illustration for issue #12, hinting that Hope Summers could be about to turn dark.

Avengers vs X-Men #12, written by Jason Aaron with interior art by Kubert, will bring the crossover event to a close following a six-month run.
"The biggest comic event of the year comes to its Universe-shattering conclusion in Avengers vs X-Men #12 this October. Which team will reign supreme?" reads the issue's solicitation.
"Here comes the pain as all your favourite super heroes enter the battle - and only one team will emerge victorious! Don't miss out on this once in a lifetime comic event."
Avengers Vs X-Men will lead directly into Marvel NOW! - which will bring creative shake-ups to titles across the line. The series will be collected in limited edition hardcover following its conclusion.
Avengers vs X-Men #12 is released on October 3.
