'X-Men': Seth Peck, Paul Azaceta take charge

By
Brian Wood has announced his departure from X-Men.

Seth Peck and Paul Azaceta will replace the writer and artists David Lopez and Roland Boschi on the Marvel Comics title.

"I was, way back, asked to write eight issues of X-Men, and I have, concluding with #37," Wood wrote on his blog.

"My name appeared in the solicitation for #38, but that was a typo... Seth Peth and (the amazing) Paul Azaceta are taking over the title. (sic)

"So it's all according to plan, I wasn't taken off the book or anything weird like that. I'm sure it won't be the last 616 X-Men I write. It also won't be the last time I work with David Lopez."

Peck confirmed on Twitter that he and Azaceta were working together on a two-part story featuring Daredevil.

Wood will continue his work on Ultimate Comics X-Men.

X-Men #38 will debut in November.
