BlastOff Comics is taking bids for the collection, which includes iconic issues such as Avengers #4, Amazing Spider-Man #25 and Iron Man #55.

"I have no regrets," Kesel told DemocratandChronicle.com. "It didn't mean it was easy. These things have a lot of sentimental value to me."
His initial goal was $27,000 in adoption fees, but Kesel also had to foot the bill of the extensive medical treatment his son required due to his birth mother's drug addiction.
"His first few weeks were rough," the writer explained. "Now he's past that. He's happy, he's alert, he's responsive. There may be other problems down the road... but we really won't know until later.
"Right now he seems very very normal to me. He's a real joy."
Kesel worked primary as a writer, penciller and cover artist for DC Comics, contributing to such titles as Superman and Hawk and Dove. He is also known for his work with Marvel Comics, Dark Horse and Image Comics.
