Avengers's team roster has been revealed almost entirely by an interlocking cover design for the first three issues of the relaunched series.
Dustin Weaver's cover illustrations for the first three issues have revealed 14 of the 18 heroes that will feature in the flagship Marvel NOW! title.
All six superheroes from Joss Whedon's Avengers movie will feature in the comic, with Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, the Hulk, Hawkeye and Black Widow all present in the promo.
Other characters depicted include Spider-Man, Wolverine, the Falcon and Captain Marvel.
Avengers will serve as the backbone of Marvel Comics' Marvel NOW! initiative, along with Uncanny Avengers and All-New X-Men. A promo illustration for the latter title recently shed light on its team roster.
Avengers #1 debuts in December.
