Catwoman #0's cover design has been altered after the original drew widespread criticism.
Guillem March has provided a new version of his Selina Kyle illustration, which initially depicted the character in a physically impossible pose.
Fellow artists including Faith Erin Hicks and Kate Beaton hit out at the cover, while other illustrators ridiculed it with parody versions.
Written by Ann Nocenti with interior art by Rafael Sandoval, Catwoman #0 will tell a revised version of the anti-hero's origin story with "major shocks" in store, according to DC Comics.
Nocenti took over writing duties on the title from issue #0, replacing Judd Winick.
DC Comics' Catwoman has stirred up controversy in the past by depicting a sex scene between the title character and Batman in issue #1.
