Before Watchmen: Moloch #1's cover design has surfaced online.
Eduardo Risso's illustration, debuted by BuzzFeed, depicts the title character shrouded in darkness holding a pack of playing cards with bloodied gloves.
Moloch, a two-issue series written by J. Michael Straczynski, was announced by DC Comics last month following intense rumour and speculation.
The title character was first seen in Alan Moore and Dave Gibbon's original series, and has made cameos in the Comedian and Ozymandias miniseries.
DC's senior vice president of sales Bob Wayne recently revealed that the publisher has no immediate plans for further Watchmen titles beyond the conclusion of Before Watchmen.
Before Watchmen: Moloch #1 is released in November followed by the second issue in December.
