Fear Itself illustrator Stuart Immonen picked up the gong for 'Outstanding Comic Book Artist', while Green Wake scribe Kurtis J Wiebe took home the prize for 'Outstanding Comic Book Writer'.
French creator Francois Lapierre was named as 'Outstanding Comic Book Cover Artist' for his work on Chroniques Sauvages, with Ramon K Perez bagging 'Outstanding Comic Book Cartoonist' for Jim Henson's Tale of Sand.
Other winners include Emily Carroll in the 'Outstanding Web Comics Creator' category, and Paul Roux's Ariane et Nicolas Tome 6: Les Toiles Mysterieuses in the 'Comics for Kids' category.
Dakota McFadzean's Ghost Rabbit picked up 'The Gene Day Award for Self-Publishers'.
The Joe Shuster Canadian Comic Book Creators Awards, now in its eighth year, is named after the celebrated artist who co-created Superman, who was born and raised in Toronto.
