The publisher's senior vice president of sales Bob Wayne has teased big plans to coincide with the 2013 debut of Zack Snyder's Superman movie that will remind the public "that we publish comic books every week".
"Every time that our colleagues at Warner Bros release a feature film based on one of our properties, we work with them to maximise the attention we can get for our publishing programme," he told Newsarama.
"When Man of Steel debuts in June, next summer, I think you will agree that we have done quite a bit to get people's attention to remind them that there's a movie coming up, and remind them that we publish comic books every week.
"So we've been having those conversations literally for over a year."
Writer David S Goyer recently promised a "naturalistic" film that won't "necessarily" be dark in tone.
The Henry Cavill and Amy Adams-starring Man of Steel will debut on June 14, 2013.
