The Marvel anime feature, co-produced by Madhouse and Sony Pictures Entertainment Japan, will be issued as a direct-to-DVD release next spring.
Rise of Technovore sees the anime incarnation of the Marvel Comics hero take on villain Ezekiel Stane. War Machine, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Nick Fury and Punisher will make guest appearances in the film.
"Marvel is excited to present an all-new Iron Man adventure featuring the high-tech adrenaline he is known for, in the beautifully rendered anime style of our friends at Madhouse," said producer Megan Thomas Bradner.
"We'll get to see familiar Marvel superheroes such as War Machine, Nick Fury, Black Widow, Hawkeye and The Punisher, rendered in anime style for the first time. It's a 'can't miss' for any Marvel fan."
Further details of Iron Man: Rise of Technovore will be revealed during the Marvel TV panel at New York Comic Con this Saturday (October 13).
