Veteran artist Dennis Calero has joined him on the adaptation of The Little Green God of Agony, which was unveiled at New York Comic Con.
The short story first featured in Stephen Jones's 2011 anthology A Book of Horrors.
It tells the tale of rich patient Andrew Newsome, who hires healer Reverend Rideout, with the latter promising to 'expel' the pain that lingers following a plane crash. It is told from the point of view of Newsome's sceptical nurse.
"I have been a huge Stephen King fan for as long as I can remember," said Calero, who is best-known for his work on X-Factor and Legion of Super-Heroes.
"To be able to work on ANYTHING with him is an honour. And to make this announcement at New York Comic Con is icing on the cake!"
The Little Green God of Agony became the debut webcomic on www.stephenking.com on October 15. New instalments will be released on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays for eight weeks.
