Ed Brubaker, Jonathan Hickman, Matt Fraction end Marvel runs

Ed Brubaker, Jonathan Hickman and Matt Fraction have concluded acclaimed runs on Marvel Comics titles this week.

Yesterday (Wednesday, October 24) saw the end of lengthy runs on Captain America, Invincible Iron Man and FF.



Hickman and Fraction will be launching new titles for the publisher under the Marvel NOW! banner.

Fantastic Four spinoff FF #23 marked Hickman's last issue on the franchise, which he took over in 2009.

He will be working on New Avengers and a twice-monthly Avengers title for the new initiative.

Fraction's four-year run on the Iron Man title with Salvador Larroca ended with issue #527.

He will replace Hickman on Fantastic Four and FF.

Brubaker's celebrated run on Captain America began in 2004. He will soon take a break from Marvel with the conclusion of his work on Winter Soldier.
