The Axe Cop animated series has debuted its first clip online.
Fox released a Halloween-themed teaser for the upcoming show, which is based on the comic book series by 8-year-old Malachai Nicolle and his older brother Ethan.
The clip's star is voiced by Nick Offerman, who plays Ron Swanson in Parks and Recreation.
Axe Cop debuted online before Dark Horse Comics brought it to print in 2010. The animated series will feature in Fox's Animation Domination HD block on a Saturday evening.
"Axe Cop is one of the most creative, hilarious and naturally viral comic properties to emerge in the last decade," said Fox executive Nick Weidenfeld.
"I've hoped someone would adapt Axe Cop for television for years and couldn't be happier that we get to be that someone. Axe Cop has all the makings of an iconic animated series and it will help set the tone for Fox's new late-prime Saturday animation lineup."
Six 15-minute episodes of Axe Cop are scheduled to air on Fox in 2013.
