"At the end of an era, Storm puts a team together to search for the start of the next," said Marvel in its solicitation for the final issue.

"In the field, will Angel challenge her for leadership?"

X-Men #41 will be written by Seth Peck with art by Jefte Palo.

The series launched in 2010 with writer Victor Gischler's vampire-centric 'Curse of the Mutants' storyline.

Marvel's mutant franchise will continue into the Marvel NOW! era with relaunching All-New X-Men, Uncanny X-Men, X-Men: Legacy and various new and continuing titles.
