'X-Termination': Marvel Comics details crossover

By
Marvel Comics has released 'X-Termination' details.

The five-issue crossover will unite Age of Apocalypse, X-Treme X-Men and Astonishing X-Men with opening and closing one-shots.

The publisher previously teased the storyline with an image featuring Wolverine fighting with the AoA version of Nightcrawler.

"The general premise is that we have these three teams: we have the Astonishing X-Men team, we have the X-Terminated team from Age of Apocalypse, we have the X-Treme team and all of them are in various dimensions," Astonishing writer Marjorie Liu told Comic Book Resources.

"An event centring around AoA Nightcrawler brings them all together. Once they're together, they're faced with an enemy that threatens all three different dimensions. By the end of it, the repercussions of 'X-Termination' are long-lasting and will stretch across the Marvel Universe."

David Lapham - who writes Age of Apocalypse and will work on the X-Terminated: Alpha opening issue - told Newsarama that the storyline will involve a "bit of mix and matching" so that different characters from the different books and dimensions will get to interact.

'X-Termination' will launch in March.
