DC Comics has said that it will not renumber the relaunched New 52 title but will recognise the landmark in the issue's story.
John Layman and Jason Fabok will provide the main story of the 80-page comic.
"In a special oversized celebratory issue, Batman is challenged by the 'Mystery of the 900', reads DC's solicitation.
The issue will match Marvel Comics' top-selling Amazing Spider-Man #700 with a $7.99 (£4.97) cover price.
"I don't want to go into too many details of what John and Jason Fabok are planning there," DC's Bob Harras told Comic Book Resources.
"The concept of the number 900 is important to the story. It's something that I think will take people a little bit by surprise of what it is, but it is the theme of the issue. It's what Batman has to face. It's definitely part of the story in a big way."
Detective Comics #19 will arrive on April 3.
