Thor team-up confirmed for 'Indestructible Hulk'

By
Thor has been confirmed for a team-up in Indestructible Hulk.

Marvel Comics hinted at the appearance of the character last week in a 'Smash' teaser which showed the Hulk attempting to lift the thunder god's hammer.

"It's off to Jotunheim, the land of the Frost Giants as Bruce Banner and his lab team embark on an all-new secret mission for SHIELD," said the publisher. "Caught trespassing by the local natives, they're going to need the help of the mighty Avenger, Thor!"

"The Marvel Universe's two most powerful heroes - the Hulk and Thor - join forces to quell a centuries-old war between god-like forces," added Marvel editor-in-chief Axel Alonso.

"But first, they'll throw down in a slugfest to prove who's more worthy to wield that pesky hammer. It's an epic tale featuring two of Marvel's most popular characters, told by two creators at the top of their craft."

The arc will see writer Mark Waid joined by veteran artist Walt Simonson, who is best known for his extended run as writer and penciller on Thor.

The storyline will launch in April's Indestructible Hulk #6.
