London Super Comic Convention breaks creator record

London Super Comic Convention
The 2013 London Super Comic Convention has attracted a record number of creators.

Organisers claim that its 74 writers, artists and cartoonists from the UK and US breaks the record for the most guests at a British comics convention.

The second annual event will be held at London's ExCel Centre on February 23 and 24.

Guests will include top names from the industry such as Neal Adams, Brian Bolland, J Scott Campbell, Lee Bermejo, Simone Bianchi, Mike Carey, Carlos Ezquerra, Glenn Fabry, David Finch, Kieron Gillen, David Lloyd, Ron Marz, Jamie McKelvie, George Pérez, Tim Seeley, Dan Slott and Nick Spencer.

Peter David has cancelled his appearance after suffering a stroke in December.

A false rumour was started last summer that the famously reclusive Spider-Man and Doctor Strange co-creator Steve Ditko would attend the 2013 event.

The London Super Comic Convention has expanded after last year's debut event to claim 100,000 at the convention centre.
