"I think it's amazing that women of all ages and levels of fitness take part in Race for Life, united by their absolute determination to take on and beat cancer," said Millar.

"Together they are a force to be reckoned with. And that's why Hit Girl is standing shoulder-to-shoulder with them in a defiant gesture to cancer."

Chloe Moretz portrayed Hit Girl in Matthew Vaughn's 2010 adaptation of Kick-Ass.

She will reprise her role in the Kick-Ass 2 movie on August 14 in the UK, and August 16 in the US.

"I have had friends and family affected by cancer and so I am proud to support the inspiring campaign behind this year's Race for Life," added Millar.

"Hit Girl is joining the fight to kick cancer's ass but the women who have been through cancer or support others going through it are the real heroes."
