The publisher will release a free comic on October 10 to celebrate the debut of The CW's television show Arrow, which is based on its Green Arrow property.
Arrow #1 Special Edition "offers a past and present glimpse of hotshot billionaire Oliver Queen" that is "the perfect companion for the show's premiere that night", according to DC.
It also features a six-issue preview of September's Green Arrow #0 and a download code for the first chapter of the new Arrow digital comic.
"Arrow is one of the most highly-anticipated new shows premiering this fall and when you combine that with enthusiasm from comic book fans who now get to see one of their favourite Super Heroes on TV - there's a lot of excitement comic book retailers can tap into," DC Entertainment vice president of marketing John Cunningham told The Source.
"We're thrilled to bring 'Arrow Day' to fans across the country."
Developed by Marc Guggenheim, Andrew Kreisberg and Greg Berlanti, the show stars Stephen Amell as Queen.
