Doctor Who Ongoing #1 is written by regular scribe Tony Lee, with art from Al Davison and a cover by Paul Grist.
The publisher revealed that the first issue will see the Time Lord team up with legendary actor Charlie Chaplin to thwart an alien invasion in 1920s Hollywood.
"At long last Doctor Who is an ongoing monthly series! Tony Lee (Doctor Who: The Forgotten), kicks off the time/space-faring series with the two-part Silver Scream," read the issue's solicitation.
"In chapter one, the Doctor travels to 1920s Hollywood where he befriends Charlie Chaplin and, of course, discovers an alien plot."
Doctor Who Ongoing #1 is available from comic stores now.
