Undoubtedly the best television show of the last few years and one of the best ever. I can't wait to see the second half of Season 4. Godsdamn those writers and their strike! Frack!

BattleStar Glactica is so great. Me and a mate sat their gob smacket when KT got killed off. The only thing that lets the show down in England are, the amount of Bloody adverts sky TV insist on putting on throughout each episode. Like the original series would have had to put up with that. Its so borring when you get to the cliff hangers and an advert break.

I've seen every episode at least once and each one has been riveting, despite some 'holes' in this story with so many twists and turns. I was not surprised at the earth they found, even expected it. Perhaps this will inspire the humans and Cylons to avoid destroying each other? And would have a populated earth been too complicated to write into the story? Would like to have seen more of the "Arrow Of Apollo" theme in the story, especially now. This was pivotal in the earlier show, when some were still skeptical of earth's existence. I know I'll be watching DVDs of this show for many years. And now more TV movies, that's awesome!

Quite simply, this is the best drama (let's not get side-tracked by the term sci-fi) I have seen in some 50-plus years of watching TV. It is a saga retold on an epic scale that engaes from the first because it has at its heart 'what does it mean to be human?' Great acting, intelligent scripts, strong direction, amazing camerawork, haunting and evocative music, state of the art SFX - and perhaps above all, challenging. If only it would air on a mianstream channel - everyone deserves an opportunity to join the odyssey.

The first Ep was great, but the following eps quickly lost the drive and drama this show can offer cause of the good cast and crew who is involved. Than again the last eps were packed with story, but the writers seemed to go more for outrageous than intelligent. The last ep was simply absurd in its structure. I would like to see the directors cut. Probably it makes more sense then.

What a series! What a story! A great re-imagination of an old show. I place this amongst the greats of sci-fi TV - Star Trek, BB5, DS9 (The Dominion War episodes) and Doctor Who (the new series).

I cannot believe we have to wait this long AGAIN to see more of the series. They are going to end it on us, but they can't pull the crew together for the shooting? And don't tell me the striking writers had not already written the rest of the series - not believing that!

Oh My GOD. This has to be one of the greatest series ever... there is absolutely nothing overlooked... I make a point to watch every single episode like 4 times the night it aires...

It was a good series in places but inconsistent I thought. The first two series of BSG were just phenomenal but I've always thought they started to run put of plot ideas after that and S3 was very heavily padded out to fill it's episode quota at times. Playing moody atmospheric music and lengthy emotional looks was no substitute for a tighter plot. In my opinion they could have dumped all the padding, concentrated the story and completed the odyssey at the end of S3 and it would have just been one of the great SciFi creations of all time. As it is it lost it's way in my view, fuelled by the producer's need to fill a schedule dictated by network. Shame really...

BSG is an awesome compilation of human frailties and emotions that are so superb that even the Cylons wish to experience them which makes me examine my own humanity much more closely. This series is a once-in-a-lifetime look at who we are and what we could become and I feel certain that the writers, actors, directors, producers and other staff will find that is some manner they have been changed by as well. Those who dislike the show do not understand it. Personally, I will be sad to see it end but then all epiphanies must are fleeting. Thank you cast, and crew for this wonderful journey into our most authentic souls.

I honestly don't know how anyone could've been surprised by that ending. It showed no imagination. The show has become more about casual sex than about plot. I hope they get back to writing in the concluding episodes.

Good review of this superb show. West Wing meets Star Trek NG meets Da Divinci Code meets Band of Brothers. Genius script with awesome acting and direction, along with Season Four's even higher standard of special effects. People talk about Heroes and Lost, but this show beats it hands down several times over. The few that have read the final episode's script say it has multiple Emmys all over it and I know they are just about the finish filming on it. The delay will allow fine tuning and give this brilliant show its deserved finale.

Galactica has totally upped its game this season on all levels; writing, performances, special effects and sets have all been top notch. You can really tell everyone involved cares about what they are producing and believes in the material. Why this show isn't winning award after award is beyond me. The ending was really interesting in the context that I had also just seen the documentary in recent weeks about what would happen to cities if the human population were to be wiped out. Looks like nobody's been at home on Earth for quite some time...

PS: While the decision to spplit came before the writers' strike, the decision was made because of it. They only just completed filming the final episodes this month in Vancouver. The season 's full slate of episodes was not written before the strike. The finish writing after it.

The best sci-fi show in the history of television and one of those rare programs that actually increases viewership in North America as it approaches its climax. A breathtaking display of storytelling and while all the writers are to be commended, one name always stands out to me; Jane Esperson. She of Buffy and Serenity must arguably be the best writer in all of North American television.

The Writers strike has no relevance to the split in season 4. It is purely a commercial decision and one that had been looming for well over a year. The series is shot well in advance of the air dates .

I love the fact that the new series is now taking a serious departure from the original Galactica storyline. It's always been very different, but now it looks like it's going in a completely new direction, which is exciting. Considering the writer's strike, I think they found a pretty good place to end the season. Will keep us talking/wondering for the rest of the year!
