Haven't actually seen it but I am of the opinion that Tom Sarek will be the 5th and tie into the aoriginal Apollo from the original series as being a template for Tom - All this has happened before all this will happen again. Sounds an excellent episode and rated accordingly

One more question everyone....if Ellen Tigh is a cylon, then surely poison would (did) not kill her and she is still alive?!! Any thoughts?

I agree with Paul, Newport - it would explain how the final Five came to be mixed in with the humans of the fleet. I can also see another potential twist: what if Man didn't create the Cylons, but the Cylons created Man?!

Stunning start to the final 10 episodes. Really sets up the final run. Also note this has a final three episode arc that is written by BSG's main producer and writer Ronald D Moore than legendary TV man Glenn Larson (A-Team, original BSG, etc.etc.) said to ABC News was "the best piece of Television I've ever seen, it'll win Emmys". So we must be in for one hell of an ending to this amazing show.

This was a great episode it was shock with dee killing her self but then . This is going to be a long shot I think that they are all clyon's or that somehow it was backwards as in the 13 came from earth to make the 12

An amazing hour of TV. Never has anything so shocking and depressing been so flat out excellent. Every expectation we had after the last episode 'Revelations' has been swung on its head. I cant wait to see where they go from here. How can this series possibly have a happy ending??? One question though, directed to Ben, i follow your reviews for all my cult shows and i am surprised to find that you only gave this 4 star, yet you gave 'Heroes' S03E05: 'Angels and Monsters' 5 stars. Its baffled me, considering i have never actually managed to see an episode of Heroes that has matched the sheer brilliance of the last 2 battlestar eps???

Its simple really ... THEY'RE ALL CYLONS! Superb episode.

Still in shock from yet another classic episode. So many twists and turns to take in, definitely will need a re-watch. Superb performances; a tearful departure of Dualla; the last cylon finally revealed (perhaps?? who knows with this great series); and a whole lot more.. wow

What an aweome show - it continues to provide shocks and surprises in the same, powerful way as from the miniseries. Truly one of the greatest TV shows ever. And I am still thoroughly confused - but unlike Prison Break, I trust it makes sense... eventually.

Great but sombre, bleak and depressing. Still this is adult tv at its best! Unmissable! Poor Dualla, While I always had this feeling she would not make it to the final episode and would have a tragic end, it was still a huge shock when it happened. Ellen Tigh as the 5th...this could be good. Looking back now, it was reasonably obvious....she was missing for over a year, she had 'intimate relations' with Cavill, etc. But when she died, I think it threw us all off the scent. Still, was she the only model of her type? Has she been ressurected? And I won't even get started on Starbuck??! Roll on next episode (and hopefully this isn't the last of D'anna staying behind on the planet - too good a character to leave out of the final episodes). Unmissable tv.

Wood love to comment on it, but once again my SKY + HD did not record it. This happened before. Where and How can I get to see this opening finale epsiode?
Mike, London on January 21st, 2009
I think you've got it seriously wrong about Dualla. She wasn't killing herself because she expected to be resurrected (why would she do that?) She'd just simply had enough, had no future and wanted to go out on a happy moment. Poor Dualla.

What a frakking episode! The suicide of Dee made me and my housemate spill our sausage casserole all over ourselves. totally unexpected. Amazing.. We felt the same emotions Adama and Lee were going through. Very harrowing. Ellen Tigh the 5th.. at the minute i'm disapointed. but as its explained.. I'll think its cool. so i'm delaying my opinion on that one.. Everything else brilliant.. I hope Tyrol and Anders are used more in the 2nd half of this season than the first!
