Tennant comforted by Kylie Minogue

Doctor Who star David Tennant has been receiving support from Kylie Minogue following the death of his mother.

The actor was devastated when his mum Helen, 67, passed away following a fight against cancer this month.

Tennant has been filming the Christmas episode of Doctor Who with Kylie, who has battled against the illness herself and been a great source of comfort since he returned to the set.

A source told the Daily Star: "Kylie knows how terrible cancer is and she took a lot of care of David."
