
Hiro teleports to Ando’s rescue, saving him from a head slicing from Sylar before both disappear. They arrive in Japan, where Ando is left behind while his friend returns to complete his quest alone.
Niki, having left the wounded DL behind, encounters Candice and batters her in order to reunite with Micah. Crucially, she sees herself in the mirror not Jessica. They later leave the building as a family, bumping into Mohinder – who gives DL treatment.
Peter tries to enlist his brother Nathan’s help in killing Sylar, but he hears thoughts that suggest he wants the explosion to happen despite the death of Mr Linderman. Peter, who was warned about his brother by Claire, tries to locate her but can’t causing him anxiety which in turn leads to his nuclear powers starting to emerge. He subsequently collapses.
Peter has a dream in which, as an invisible entity, he sees himself caring for Simone’s father Charles Deveaux. Charles speaks to him and says that he is the only one who can heal the world. Peter then awakes to find Mr Bennet over him, who reveals his first name as Noah.
Sylar is confronted in the plaza by Noah and Matt, with the former being thrown to a wall and the latter’s own bullets being turned on him and into his chest. After being saved by Niki, Peter takes the fight to Sylar but begins to glow, causing his nemesis to laugh at him. Suddenly, Hiro emerges from thin air and strikes Sylar down with the sword, seemingly killing him.
Claire takes her father’s gun and approaches Peter, by now on the verge of exploding. Peter implores her to shoot, but his brother Nathan flies onto the scene, grabs him and sends them both soaring into the sky. Moments later, there’s a massive explosion in the night sky. It also emerges that Sylar’s body has disappeared, with a trail of blood leading to an open manhole cover.
Having teleported way from Sylar after striking him down, Hiro appears in 1671 Japan where he is threatened by some samurai archers. Before they can attack, there is an eclipse…
