great finale, sad to see to great characters killed off. Not sure they are going to be replaced easily, still amazing tv

A stunning episode and one which made my cry. The one actor who performed superb was Naoko Mori. A amazing performance from her.

It was great watching the area I work being blown up :-) But, seriously, an excellent episode all round, definitely the best this series. Tosh's line when Owen was shouting ("because you're breaking my heart") has to be the most emotional, and heart wrenching moment in TV for a very long time.

I was in tears the last 15 minutes or so....wonderful series finale of a much improved series 2 of Torchwood.

Stunning drama...Toshiko and Owen separated in dying...beautifully played performances and full marks to Chris Chibnall as writer...those who complain in the forums about love and relationships interfering with what they believe to be good Sci-Fi should rethink their ideology after this...

Absolutely brilliant episode. I was in tears at the end. Superbly acted by Noako Mori, I'm so saddend that she has left! I've never liked Owen but he's death was also a shock and so sad. Brilliant episode- Torchwood just HAS to be back for a third series.

It was an excellent episode - but it was so incredibly sad!! :( I never cry from television but I was very very close with this episode. At least we have DW now!

Some clunky scripting, plotting and delivery, but the performances by Burn Gorman and particularly Nakao Mori were heart-rending. And I salute the show for having the guts to kill off two key characters in this way. No reprieves, no comebacks.
Judith on April 5th, 2008
Fantastic episode, Naoko Mori especially was superb, best acting I've seen in a long time - the scenes with just Tosh and Owen nearly made me cry. They won't be easily replaced, and next series of Torchwood has alot to live up to.

great episode so emotional john barrowman should get award nominations for his performance as jack, james marsters is amazing even though he will always be spike to me hope he comes back as capt john he should be a regular, death of owen was expected but still emotional the actor who plays him is also great hope he gets some kind of accolade as well, tosh dying was a shock sad to see her go overall mint season cant wait for series 3.

Maybe it's too soon after all the emotionalism this episode evoked in most of you to bring this up, but here goes anyway. "Exit Wounds" was not only terrible, but suspiciously so. Torchwood is too good a show to end a season with such a bad episode. Horrible storyline, (unashamedly ripped off from "Angel"), gratuitously killing off two beloved characters that hadn't been nearly developed enough (especially Toshiko), amateurish acting from whoever played Gray (name unimportant) - all of these things raise my doubts about RTD's seriousness with this storyline, hence my suspicions. People, our legs are being pulled. Hopefully, RTD has some great master plan to reconcile not only the inarguable weaknesses of "Exit Wounds" but the deteriorating quality of the second series in general. Owen is killed and brought back by the glove, which up to now Jack totally forbade to be used? Little girls reading Tarot cards? No mention (unforgiveably) of Bilis Manger anywhere in the second series? All of these things are far too weak for Torchwood's otherwise excellent writers. In short, RTD is too good a writer/producer to be this incompetent. Maybe the idiotic twist this show has taken is attributable to Adam NOT being dead, but continuing to mess the Team's minds (thus ripping off the "it was all a dream" cop-out from "Dallas"; perhaps this is one of Bilis' machinations (which would be an excellent story). All I know is that if RTD seriously expects fans to blindly accept this storyline as canon to the series, he'd better get ready for a scathing review of the third series and a quick cancellation of the show. Hey Russell! Enough mucking about! Get back to writing GOOD shows while you still have fans to watch them!

I was doing fine until Owen got locked in the room and shouted "Not like this!" and then I lost it *lol* Sadly, it was only just in this episode that I started to feel anything for Tosh, who - in my opinion - has been one of the most under-written and under-acted characters of the show. I may not be a great fan of Gwen, but at least I can understand her character and what drives her to be the person she is! All in all, a wonderful and fittingly shocking end to what has been a great series. Well done, Torchwood!

I blubbed like a baby!! Fantastic finale. So pleased after last years laughable disaster.
Saskia, London on April 5th, 2008
The story-line was depressingly cliched and why is Jack doing the whole Jesus thing? Frankly I only watched this series (which while funnier and sparkier than the last one it still isn't brilliant) was for Tosh and Owen. While Tosh was lumbered with annoying stories I still loved her character and Owen is just so cynical but still well-rounded that how could you not love him? Their deaths were beautifully acted, but the music was incredibly annoying, that it felt absolutely real. Although I do think Owen calmed down a bit faster than you'd expect. I don't know if I'll watch the next series as the plots seem to still have humongous holes in them and now the only characters I believed in are dead. So TW is saved from a one by one of the most touching death scenes I've ever seen.

OMG, I couldn't believe what I was watching and when it finally started to set in, Tosh's final farewell message appeared on the screen. After that, I just lost it. I really loved her character, Owen's too, but since Owen actually "died" already and that played out over several weeks I had come to terms with it, but Tosh? That was a complete surprise. Incredibly good writing, and I eagerly await to see what fantastic situations we find the Torchwood crew in next series.

Had to admit that I found myself very choked up, watching the death scenes...they were very real, not soppy at all - what fantastic actors the both of them are! And I totally do not agree with those who say that the characters weren't built up...you don't have to know their life story to be saddened by the characters' deaths. The show is, ulimately, about aliens!- its not 100% character driven.

Just watched for the third time. Yes third! I still sobbed my heart out, and I knew what was coming! Naoko and Burn acted their socks off. Very Romeo and Juliet, them being brought together by death. My only criticism would be the casting of Gray. More important to have someone who can act, than looking a bit like John Barrowman!! God he was so bad!
Greg, Chicago Illinois USA on April 7th, 2008
It was just great. That's all, just great. Nothing like it on American TV and that is a pity. But I could really see this show being botched by some ham-fisted Hollywood types trying to make it "popular".

I was in tears for a whole week and still am now i cant drink eat or sleep. When tosh got shot i thought she was going to survive but she didnt and when owen got locked in and i dont cry for that stuff, i am only 11 and i dont cry for that stuff, but i did then. I hope there is a series 3 and if there is i cant wait for it.

I was crying so much, i had to get up and get some tissues! This episode was fantastic, it still has not sunk in that next year i will be watching torchwood and tosh and owen won't be in it, in the subtitles or anything, great twist but such a big loss!
abbie, west midlands on April 8th, 2008
This episode was perfection!! I nearly cried. It was heartbreaking at the end when tosh left a message for the team. Torchwood never fails to impress with raunchy and action packed storylines. Jack and gwen are so cute together.

Awesome stuff, I cried for the first time in a long time. It was so very true to the story, everything was wrapped up and although I saw the inevitability of a tragic event such as this happening at the end of the series, a double kill-off was not to be expected and it shocked me and touched me deeply. I will never stop loving this series and this series finale of Torchwood.
Abby Abercanaid on April 11th, 2008
I was crying on the night and now i got photos all around my room and i still am very sad about it and i hope there is a series 3 owen is not dead and tosh.

I had heard that most of the main characters are planning on taking a back seat next season but I had no idea they were going to kill off 2 main characters. I suppose I shouldn't have been surprised about Owen. They didn't have many places left to go with his character when they made him the walking dead without the ability to heal or have sex (both of which are very important to Torchwood). It was a great episode and I just didn't see it coming. I definitely had a cry. I hope they replace them with good characters. I guess this is where Martha comes back.
Leslie, Alabama on April 20th, 2008
No, no, no, No, NO! Not Tosh! Not Owen! Bring them back, Jack, or I swear I will not watch again! The episode, like the series, had me riveted but I swear, I've been betrayed.
George, Ohio U.S.A. on April 20th, 2008
The entire episode had me on the edge of my seat as well as holding the box of tissue(there i said it!) I only started watching this season and became hooked instantly. Now..two of may favorite characters are gone! A very sad ending to a magnificent episode capping an amazing season of what is easily the most unique and captivating programs I have ever watched! I will miss Burn & Naoko. AWSOME TELEVISION!! Can't believe I have to wait a year for the new season.

Well bugger I didn't see Owens and Tosh's death's coming,I'm not a cryer but bloody hell I cried like a baby,I do wonder if they (Captian Jack) will use the "Infamous Glove" to bring them back to life,I sorta hope so,sorta!
Abbie Cardiff on April 28th, 2008
