Joely Richardson's character Julia in cult drama Nip/Tuck will reportedly have a lesbian affair in the forthcoming season.

The British actress, who plays the estranged wife of plastic surgeon Dr Sean McNamara, has filmed scenes with Australian actress Portia De Rossi, who is involved in a real-life relationship with Ellen De Generes.

"Word is the pair’s sex scenes are anything but tame," an insider told The Sun.

Last year, Richardson temporarily left Nip/Tuck in order to care for her ill daughter, but has since returned to the show.
