I think the acting is sometimes a bit, erm- not good. i think it was the previous 2 part episode that Rani shouted "no i dont wanna become like that" really unconvincingly. I think apart from the fact its a sci fi and a spin-off from doctor who, there is little to persuade me to watch this

Not getting this in Australia. Need more DT right now!!!!

A superb episode, the music editing was immense, you almost felt like you were watching a movie, especially the scene with Clyde. For once, the kids acted like kids when they entered the Tardis, a real hair raising moment!. i'M 33 and absolutely loved every single minute of it.

I can't believe how so many of you are complaining about the scheduling of SJA. It is the only decent drama made for children so why take it away from them. My kids watch it and also make sure that it's recorded every thurs/fri so that when i get home from work we sit and watch it as a family. Well done to all on the SJA team for another great series, and to all you whiners do some investigation into some modern technology (video/dvd/internet)

Been saying for ages - that SJA could be smart repeated on late afternoon / early evenings on Sundays - like they did with Narnia The Borrowers many many moons ago.........

i don't see why people say that this show is a let down it is for children at the end of the day.
jay, london on November 1st, 2009
i think people bringing up the subject of schedule time have a point, 4.35pm is fine, but i think the show definatly needs a repeat perhaps on bb2 on sundays. that way everyone can get to see the show! im sure alot of potential fans are missing out

I'm 33 and set my timer for these two excellent episodes! For us die hard Doctor Who fans this was just what we have been craving for. David Tennant didn't completely take over the show which was good but it was such a sad end for Sarah Jane. It was also great to see K9 getting a much more significant part for ages.

Just watched episode 2 as I have been away this weekend. Very funny and very sad had a tear in my eye at the end Liz Sladen has worked as well with DT as she did with Pertwee and baker I think. Come on BBC lets have series 4 on saturday and sunday evenings 530 6ish would get 4 maybe 5 million watching. Oh yes the review was right Nigel Havers is a national treasure.

We heard the words that he says he shot as his very last, as in 'You two with me, Spit spot'. DT has been fab but i welcome the overhaul from Steven Moffatt and i'm not judging MS until i've seen him in the role.

Really enjoyed the 2 episodes and agree that the series should be put on a bit later for us grownups to enjoy as well.

Yeah I agree mostly with Digital Spy's review. Great episode , and interesting storylines almost being like Doctor Who standards. Well done BBC.

Yes, Sarah Jane Smith should be fitted into a better slot, it deserves better and We should really start a petition. Overall to be honest I found the story-line so stupid and boring, let Sarah-Jane be happy for once! Expected More!

i think it was brill i really enjoyed it, the doctor was funny and comical as usual ( he brought laughter to the eppisode!) all in all the doctor was amazing in sarah jane!

Loved it - I cried when Peter's twist was made clear (thought he was the bad guy in with the trickster) and the trickster is so creepy - bet there were plenty of kiddies scared of him! The Doctor seemed so sad and loved his influence on the kids. And Sarah Jane as usual - legendary. Mr Smith and K9's bickering did make me laugh too. Time shouldn't be an issue in the days of 'generic hard disc recorders' and iplayer - didn't bother me I've been sick and for the first time in 20 years loved and watched kids TV - Andy Crane did it better though :)

Why all the fuss about the broadcast time? Just record it as Colin Baldwin says. Besides, one of the good things about Sarah Jane Adventures is that all stories are two parters, resulting in that Doctor Who staple of the cliffhanger at the end of the first half. If the show moved to a weekend or evening slot it would probably go to 45 minutes per episode and most stories would be single parters. This would be a backward step.
Mario London on November 1st, 2009
I agree that Sarah Jane should go to mainstream television as it is so brilliant. It would get more viewers and it be great on a sunday evening or saturday evening.
Rob Vanston, Harpenden on November 1st, 2009
can't the BBC order a full 13 episode season and stick it on Saturday when Doctor who and merlin aren't on? the show has gone from strength to strength and deserves better!!
Ben, Hull on November 1st, 2009
Yes the show would benefit from a more family orientated time slot. Not only would it increase the audience, but it would allow the show to cover more mature [not meaning adult] narratives. Back to the 'Wedding' episode, and I also agree it was a tale of two halves. K9 was the only decent part in episode one. But when episode two came along it shon as probably the best Sarah Jane there's been to date. Proving the show can do more than just childish pranks and CGI monsters.

I LOVED it!!! I even managed to watch it whilst I was in Gran Canaria!! ohh well done David and Elizabeth!! and all the kids!! it was awesomee!!! :) (BTW all the people who commented about the time.... I agree with you, but as it is a CBBC programme, and CBBC FINISHES at 7.00, they wouldnt be able to change the time if they WANTED to. Its on at a time that children can watch it, say, when they get home from school.)
Colin Baldwin, Grimsby on November 1st, 2009
It's the 21st Century, folks. Record and watch it together at your leisure. It's what we do (in lovely HD/5.1 - Merlin, take note!). :)
Joanne, Suffolk on November 1st, 2009
I agree its in a stupid time slot 7pm would be much better. It was so well acted it had me reaching for the tissues at the end.
